I was wondering how people chose the tourny's they play in to win their money, as in, Turbo's, 1, 2, 3 or table sng's, MTT, HU, etc.

I've been playing pretty much exclusively $5 +.50 NL 9 seated SNG's at pokerstars and have come out even for my first couple of months playing. I have come to realize the only real reason I still play these 9 person SNG's is cause thats the only type of sng I've really played in my home games...

Any tips on picking the game thats right for me? or at least how you came to realize you wanted to exclusively do Turbo SNGs, MTTs, etc? and if you dont exclusively play one type of game why not?

This is mostly talking about play when trying to maximize $$$, because I realize everyone likes to try new/different stuff every now and then.

Thanks!

TLR is an unknown quantity at this point
Try a few of each type, and find the one fitting you most.

For me personally I started at $5.50, moved to the turbos $6.50, moved back to regular $5.50 and $10+1, tried some 2 table and three table Sngs and finally settled for turbo $16+1 and $25+2 single table, with an occesional $11+1 45 people Sng.

I personally like the turbos because they take much less time and they require you to play a bit looser then regular Sngs, but thats just me...

Regarding MTTs - I rarely have the required 4-5 hours to play one, so I don't
