I finally hit 10K hands and am ready to be analyzed. I hope you guys would be kind enough to help me with it. One leak I feel I have is in the big blind. I am bleeding money from there. I don't believe it's calling too many hands. I think I try to do too much to take the pot when I am in the big blind and almost overvalue my hand. I also don't think I 3bet enough. Am I right about these leaks? Is there anything else you guys see? Be blunt. I can take it!

I want to move up to 5NL soon but it would be great if I can fix some leaks down at 2NL. Thanks a lot guys!

If I had to wager a guess, I think your style may be a little too nitty and too aggressive. You strike me as someone who may spend most of their time waiting for premium hands like AA, KK, and AK and then raising big and pushing hard when you hit and sometimes when you don't. I deduct that from your VPIP, PFR, and AF. You don't play a lot of hands. You raise the majority of the ones you play. You are very aggressive on the few you play. Against players who do not notice, you will probably come out ahead more times than not. However, against most thinking or observational players, you're losing a lot of value. I think you need to mix up your play some - expand your range, limp more, don't push so hard on everything, and you'll be able to extract more value when you hit.

Respectfully, I'm going to have to disagree a little with Jason's assessment.

18.3/12.5 isn't nitty IMO, but your aggression (3.81) is a little high, meaning you possibly aren't calling enough (or you are betting a whole lot)

It looks like you are fairly positionally aware, but you can start opening your range a little closer to the button, and tighten down your UTG stats a little (Don't Open limp UTG!) If you were sitting at 11/11 UTG and 30/20 OTB, you would have about the same overall stats, but your range would be less predictable to people who pay attention (doesn't happen at $2NL though).

One other thing that is noteworthy is your SB stats; you are completing the SB much too often, your BB (which you were concerned about) actually looks fine to me, though your aggression in early positions does lend to your own statement that you try to take the pot down a lot OOP.

Try to add a little passivity (calling) to your game and don't attempt to pwn every pot that you get involved in. If someone calls your C-Bet on the flop, don't double barrel the turn unless you have a good hand (TPTK+) or a good read! (Jeez, that's good advice for myself as of late...)
Hey knucklehead! Bonk!

What is you early position limping range?... limping small pp's at 2nl up through 5nl and maybe even 10nl might be profitable, but you want to get out of that habit eventually. Stealing freq seems pretty strong.. and I wouldn't worry about opening up your 3b freq at all. I'd tighten up from early position.. and work on playing better post.. not looking at ways to be more aggressive pre-. I am also a nit... so take advice as you'd like.
So you click their picture and then you get their money?

I'm going to disagree with Jason, and then Agree and disagree with Critter.

I feel that your VPIP and PFR are very good everywhere but the SB and possibly the button. You should not be calling very often on the small blind, due to always being out of position. Also at the button you could be a little more aggressive. If they check it to you, throw out that cbet.

I do not think that your AF is too high. Keep doing your thing. Whatever you changed at about 4K hands sure as hell is working. You are up about 25 buyins in the past 6000 hands. That is AWESOME, can't ask for much more than that. That's about 42BB/100. Keep doing your thing and get ready to move on up to $5NL.

open more hands on the button and cut off
also maybe consider how you're playing the SB, you seem to be playing a lot of hands, even more than on the button

18/13/3.8 is not really the stats I want to see in front of my opponents at the table. Those are close enough to optimal that it probably wouldn't make sense to work at changing them.

Positionally you could definitely stand to open more hands from the CO and the BU. If people are limping weak, raise them with more hands in position.

Your pfr stat in the SB is a little bit out of line. I think the reason your losing from that position even without the blind is probably that you're building big pots out of position with less than premium hands.

What is your folded to steal stat?
Check out my self-deprecation here!
