Yup...I made a post about this. I'm FINALLY even. Well, I'm up now, but about two days ago I finally broke through and got out of the red. I was in the red (down $35) for about a month and it was ticking me off. It was getting to my head and I may have even been forcing plays to get up. I was digging my hole nice and deep. Finally, I clamped down and got myself out of the hole.
I'm finally out of the red and into the green and it's great. I feel liberated and am now able to play my game. I'm soon to get to 5NL and try my game there. How'd it feel when YOU finally got out of the red (if you ever dug yourself a hole in the red)?

Good for you man! well done on doing everything you needed to do to start developing into a decent player.
I see your thinking of playing 5nl, my advice would be to wait until you have $100 Br!

That's going to take a little while for me, due to a slurry of failed attempts before FTR and Grinderschool kicked me into shape I think I'm down about $1,000 on stars atm!

I've hit zero a few times and then shot up, then back down, it's fine though because I'm ready to lose my $100 investment just to buy back in again. I think if I can learn as much as I have with $100 over 3 months it's the same as 2 video games and therefore I can lose it.
Once I lose it again though, not gonna be too happy.

When I first moved up to 25nl, I got down almost 3 buy ins in my first 1,000 hands. It took almost 2,000 more hands to get it back to even. It felt great to get back.
Nice post. Keep up the hard work.

Good job dude. I'm really glad you posted that because I needed to hear that. Although I've only been below for like 4 days in a row, I'm just not going anywhere. And two days ago, I just kept going more and more down. Now I'm prepared to go through this for another month (only if I have to...)

OP: Beginner to Master
If I bet as a bluff, I should be thinking "am I getting better hands to fold? Is it likely that he will fold x% of the time to a y sized bet to make it +EV?". If I bet for value, I should be thinking "am I getting worst hands to call? Am I ahead of enough of his range that this is a good value bet?".
