Just a few opinions needed here please. How valuable are straights in omaha i mean for example board of A56 and you hold 34xx even if you hit the 7 arent you likely to be dominated by a higher straight?
Is it really worth drawing just to hit a gutshot or what.
Also if the board pairs should you more or less give up on anything less than a boat if being raised into? I only ask as I've been getting my ass kicked in low limits and not monetary wise I feel like I'm being dominated. So I just wana know if I'm playing too loose or what

I'm not an omaha player but I'd be inclined to not draw to a gutshot in this game especially if it's not the nut gutshot.

Straights are nothing to fall in love with - too easily counterfited. I remember some blog where guy (who obviously pwned PLO) was talking about treating str8s in omaha like TPTK in holdem. It's nice hand to stack a donk or something but you should not turn crazy as soon as you get it. BTW str8s are by far my bigest loosers in PLO and there's nothing even close ... so hard to let go.

always draw to the nuts.
DOnt get all in with a flopped straight on the flop do it on the turn as you can actually be a dog or only a slight favourite on the flop with the flopped straight.

That's not a gutshot. No, I wouldn't draw to a gutshot, and yes, you are VERY likely to be beaten if a seven comes off and there are very many hands in the pot.
Plus, I always remember that it's a lot harder to get paid in omaha once something hits. Guys aren't going to give you great implied odds to hit a gutshot or something.

I know hitting the seven isn't a gutshot, what i meant was say you had the 34 on a 56 board isnt the only straight thats useful to you hiting the 2 to make A2345.
But I appreciate whats being said, I might have to start playing high flushes and above

I guess you could think of that as a gutshot draw, yes. And hitting a two makes your hand, but you're so likely to be counterfeited, and not paid off.
I don't pay to get there.

If you are drawing you want to draw to the nut str8, and preferbely either draw to the nut flush as well or have better str8 options, for example on a A56 rainbow board I drawing to a str8 with 789 is way better then drawing with 78.
On a paired board if someone bets assume they have a boat
