Been a busy couple weeks so haven't been doing much lately.
First day back at 10NL. These are a few hands I am questioning my play on.

Villian was 28/5/17 3bet over 40 hands. BB just sat down. On the flop I was having a problem coming up with a good amount to cbet. I am sure this is because my 4bet amount was too small. Had I done like 4x I think I would just shove the flop. I don't think C/C is a good way to go so C/R shove, B/C a shove, shove 1st?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

SB ($10.55)
BB ($10)
UTG ($12.30)
Hero (UTG+1) ($10.15)
MP1 ($9.85)
MP2 ($10)
CO ($13.40)
Button ($13.40)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A, A
1 fold, Hero bets $0.40, 2 folds, CO raises to $0.80, 2 folds, BB calls $0.70, Hero raises to $2.50, CO calls $1.70, 1 fold

Flop: ($5.85) J, 9, K (2 players)
Hero???

MP2 ia 11/6 over 67 hands with 0 agg factor...shortstack is 23/15 but only 13 hands. Is there value in betting vs MP2 here? Does he call with much I have beat?

Fold PF? Steal? Do I fold/raise any of these min bets? Villian is 25/21 over 24 hands.

hand 1: your 4b size is perfect now bet $2-$2.5 and call a shove
hand 2: I think it's a fold, if the shortstack is tight he probably has a stronger hand range and the 3bettor also probably has a stronger hand range
I think it's closer if you had JJ pre
hand 3: it's fine, sometimes you get shown king high here
maybe as often as 1/4 or 1/5 of the time

[noob thoughts ]

first hand - well, I'd probably c-bet about $6.50-7 here. you beat most things in his range IMO, but he can narrow your range down enough that you need a big bet to avoid giving him too high implied odds.

second hand - I fold preflop, not getting good enough set odds with the short stack for me.

third hand - I fold preflop here too to his raise. call me too tight? as played, I guess i'd float it through..not sure though.
<JustinSKS> Tha'ts why I fold my 33 to 72o, because 7 high beats, 1 pair, donk.

I wouldn't limp at all in the last hand, i'd fold straight off.

Thanks.

1- are we betting less than 1/2 the pot to induce a shove from AK/QQ and draws?

2- good points....and you are right, they were stronger.

3- min bets like this tilt me... but didn't want to play around too much on that board oop.

That and even if he calls we have a good turn shove size going into the turn.

we're betting 1/2 pot because worse hands have 2 outs against us
we could even bet smaller, but I think 1/2 pot twice gets us all in and that's nice in terms of bet sizing
he can't have tons of outs against us unless he has AdQd but he'll probably shove it in on the flop anyway

surviva316 will become famous soon enough
hand 1-not qualified to talk about 4bet sizing but i don't think 4x's is the way to go, and 3x's seems totally fine. flop can just be a standard cbet size. no need to just shove it because he has like no outs in his range that we beat. if you wanna get fancy i like to bet like exactly half of my remaining stack 'cause that sets up for an oober easy shove/call of a shove while not blowing lesser hands out of the water.

hand 2 is a fold and i really don't even see how this is close. i'm probably folding JJ here too and i'm not even a happy camper holding QQ here. i mean it's such a small sample that i guess we'd have to continue with QQ here, but i'm like banging my head against the keyboard.

hand 3- i pretty much take a fold or steal policy in the SB of a bvb, but if villain doesn't know what a blind steal is then i guess i don't mind just limping here. as played i guess you could "donk" on the turn for protection because villain either has a weak pair, a FD or the nuts like 95% of the time. other than that i really can't see changing any other way you played the hand
