I'd just sad down at this table so no reads on anyone.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
SB ($9.10)
Hero (BB) ($10.55)
UTG ($5.40)
MP ($25.40)
Button ($10)
Preflop: Hero is BB with K , A
3 folds, SB bets $0.20, Hero raises to $0.80, SB calls $0.60
Flop: ($1.60) K , K , 9 (2 players)
SB bets $1, Hero ???
Readless, do I raise this flop 100% of the time to try to build a pot quickly or can I warrant a call to keep villain in the pot as he's behind most of the time and let him value town himself? Thoughts on board texture?

I was just going to post something similar, ie extracting max value. Before I do that, I'll give yours a whirl.
Did you put villain on a range? Based on them calling your 3bet, I would say JJ+, AJs+, AQo+ works.
Villain bet on turn narrows their range to JJ-QQ, AA, AQ+. I would think you'd be at least chopping the pot or are way ahead. Everything in their range is crushed, unless they have AA. Even then you only fear another A. I would call. See if villain takes another stab on turn.

yeah his donking range is low to mid pocket pairs and heart draws so definitely raise for value on the flop, get it in if he 3bets you, but he'll likely call, when anything but a heart rolls off on later streets keep betting for value hoping to get his stack with a hand like 99

lol I hope not.
To those condoning a raise, what would be the ideal size?

Haha sorry bad example. I meant a hand like 88. Just pointing out a medium pocket pair is a likely holding, sorry

I personally put that type of bet on a draw, or missed pp... He won't put you on holding a nine unless it's pockets, and a weaker king isn't folding many bets, but I don't know if he leads here... I price it to make draws pay, maybe $3+ depending what you think his calling range is. If we're raising I would put it between $3-4 almost always..
$3 is going to be charging a flush draw for 1 street, as we're making it obvious we're giving no free cards, so this should be sufficient to counter any implied odds he might have given the stacks, but I'm not sure.
That is my thinking.. $3. this makes the AI by river easy, and I don't think many hands he's continuing with on the turn are folding to this, plus you're making a hard decision for a flush draw, which IMO is also +EV for us.
This would make the overall pot $7.60 and his remaining stack would be $5.30. If he's on a flush draw, he has 8 outs; I like this raise, and the turn, you have position.
These are just my thoughts!
