Now I did not buy in at the lowest, this was after a couple of beats, BUT by not "topping up" I lost out on $1.53. Since this is the "begginers forum" and litterally everyone says Buy in at the max, ANd Refill, I am regretting it now, and this it to show WHY. At Micro Limits your there to learn and to build a BR. Every $ is one more for the next victim/ session.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
SB ($2.35)
BB ($1.69)
UTG ($1.65)
UTG+1 ($5.08)
MP1 ($5.78)
[b]SIRK ($1.28)[b]
CO ($2.33)
Button ($2.81)
Preflop: SIRK is MP2 with J , T .
UTG calls $0.02, 1 fold, MP1 calls $0.02, SIRK calls $0.02, 1 fold, Button raises to $0.1, 1 fold, BB calls $0.08, UTG folds, MP1 calls $0.08, SIRK calls $0.08.
Flop: ($0.43) Q , K , 9 (4 players)
BB checks, MP1 checks, SIRK bets $0.38, Button calls $0.38, BB folds, MP1 calls $0.38.
Turn: ($1.57) 4 (3 players)
MP1 checks, SIRK bets $0.8 (All-In), Button raises to $2.33, MP1 folds.
River: ($4.70) 5 (2 players, 1 all-in)
Final Pot: $4.70
Results below:
SIRK has Js Td (straight, king high).
Button has Kd Jd (one pair, kings).
Outcome: SIRK wins $3.17. Button wins $1.53.

Maybe someone will ship you $1.53.
I always tryto keep my stacks topped off. Especially at PS since it's so easy to do. At Prima sites it's gay because you hafta do it while folded.

Calling the BB with 10-J offsuit is shaky at best, and callying a raise with it is suicide. I'd consider myself lucky to have won anything.

I disagree - sirk was in the HighJack at a table full of limpers with TJ and a deep enough stack that implied odds matter. TJ is a GREAT drawing hand (in fact it is the best str8 drawing that there is). He limped as well it got raised. BUT THEN the raise got CALLED by TWO other players who he has position on. .08 into an almost .40 pot - you can call that raise with almost any two.
Moreover, his post wasn't about his play - it was about his mistake in not topping off his stack. And he's right he missed value there, which is the biggest mistake you can make in poker.

BB had been Raising on anything . I had been sitting at this table for about 25-40 minutes. My image was pretty tight as well so this was an "out of the ordinary move" so after the Flop I knew I was getting Paid.
And alot of FTR members are posting in this forum about keeping topped up..well the new guys may see it is as " Well that is at NL25 blah blah blah.." Well here is a Prime example at Micro Stakes of why it is a Good Idea to play with the most possible.
