(obv there is leaks in my game). But my question is when should I know that my play is causing my losing session vs variance or a downswing? With the ability to see my ev line or should that matter at all?

I started at nl10 about a month and a half ago and got off to a rocky start. After playing at nl5 for about 300K hands. Then things started to smooth out. But about 31k hands ago about a week and a day or two. Things took a little downswing, then made a little comeback then this last week things started to get a little rough again. Was having a hard time figuring if the problem was me or not. I mean my ev line is breaking even and my winnings are looking like the stock market. But my EV line is not going upward. Should it be going upward to be a true downswing or or is the fact that its breaking even while I am 15 buy in's below ev? A sign that I am just running a little bad?

Your EV graph will take hits when you get set under set, KK versus AA preflop, etc but those are all situations where you are getting coolered.

I'm breakeven at 10nl over 10k hands, but I'm down 11BI in EV. So don't sweat it too much, just ride the wave.

Wow what's with everyone having such a crap start with 10nl?
I'm down 3BI or something after 5K hands. My graph looks identical to the beginning of yours (including the part where it begins sloping back up )
