After reading that ePassporte is the best way to transfer funds from site to site, and that it's a somewhat necessary tool for players to have, I figured I should sign up for an account. Signed up Jan 1st or 2nd and have been waiting for the authentication process' "pending charge" on the MasterCard/debit card that I signed up with. Skip to the 10th (yesterday), when I find the following notice in my ePassporte inbox:

Dear Account Holder,
ePassporte currently does not accept MasterCard Credit/Debit Cards for loading funds. ePassporte does not believe MasterCard's security procedures meet the standards required by ePassporte to ensure the security of our Account Holders.
Alternatively, you may use a Visa Credit/Debit card to load funds to your ePassporte Account. To add a Visa Card, please log into your ePassporte Account, click on "Load Money", "Credit Card" and the "Add a New Credit Card" link.
You may also use your US checking account to transfer funds to your ePassporte Account. To add a US Bank Account, please click on "Load Money", "US Bank Account" and enter your bank account details.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further assistance.
Thank you for choosing ePassporte.
Best Regards,
ePassporte Account Holder Services

Wish this message had come sooner, so I could've NOT stopped playing on Stars (FPPs @ microstakes seem pretty useless so I figured I'd wait the "few days" to continue playing somewhere I could chase a bonus for a greater +EV). Figured since I was planning on moving up, I might as well chase a bonus in case it didn't go well. Anyways, just wanted to vent I guess... /end noobrant

ugh, that sucks. you would think they could tell you that they don't accept mastercards to load right when you typed in the card information.

Why not just set it up directly to your bank account instead of using your debit card (which goes straight to your bank account anyhow, right?)

That's what I'm sayin. Hopefully not many others have to go through this.

I thought it'd be easier to sign up using my debit card + I have my debit card info memorized whereas other info = not memorized. Also, I thought (not sure where I heard this) card transactions process faster than transfers from bank accounts (which I thought normally take longer for everything)?

That may be true. It takes about 10 days for my deposit to be available. I think I remember reading on their site that withdrawals are about the same...not that I'd know yet.
BUT, slow is better than never.
