Hi, some of you may remember me from a year or so ago.
This is more of a post to say hello again to the community again certain things recently have taught me that I need to study the game more. Quite simply I’ve won money since I started playing three years or so ago but have never got to the stage where I’ve got a firm bankroll and enough to play at set levels consistently. Most recently I took down a $7.70 180 on Stars and it seems since then my game has gone to pot, I’ve started to lack discipline – like playing whilst drinking, playing whilst tired and even when neither of these two being too impatient or playing weak cards and trying to bluff calling stations etc. I’ve also come to realise that I truly suck at cash games and although I’ve played a fair amount of ring this month to clear an FPP bonus it’s an area of my game that is severely weak. So more than anything just saying I’m back learning and hope to focus on improving my game through the use of this forum, downswings happen but the thing is being proactive about them. I think a lot of us especially the lower limit players take learning and reading, taking notes, using PT etc to be somewhat of a chore but ultimately it’s just as important from experience as playing hands. I’d add I don’t mind losing when it’s due to the luck of the cards it happens and dealing with tilt isn't a problem but when it’s down to my own state of mind then it’s something Iought to be able to control.

p.s. If anyone’s got any good ideas for a fishy site that would be great, I’ve played pretty exclusively on Stars and it’s probably time to try and find a site with less capable players.

Welcome back Skeeno not that I knew you before. Good luck with your learning and discipline.

The object is to fill the pot of experience before you empty the pot of luck."

I've heard Cake is pretty fishy, but it's the only site I've played on so I don't really know. It's a pretty small site but they don't allow HUDs (will lock your account if they detect one) and they change their HHs every now and then to make it difficult to track your hands in say in PT or HEM. This supposedly keeps a lot of sharks and multi-tabling TAGs away.

Oh, you're from the UK. I've heard a lot of American players on another forum talk about how much they wish Fortune was open to US players as they say Fortune is pretty much the fishiest site. I don't know this personally, though. YMMV.
