I have $425 to dedicate to ring...
I've been playing for 3 months, have Pokertracker + AceHUD and I'm going to play cash games all summer (2 1/2 months).
Right now, my money is on Stars. I'll be starting out playing 25NL. Am I best to move my money to play 25NL at the fishy PP or stay at Stars?

Move to Party and collect nice bonuses while playing 25NL.

NL25 on any site will be fishy. If you have a decent understanding of the game (NL ring), it should be quite easy to beat.

I think you can do fine at 25NL at Stars but, if you don't have an account at the Party fishfest yet, move it over and get a welcome bonus and boost your roll a bit. You're not much shy of a big enough roll to start bonus whoring, btw.

I have a $505 roll right now... but I'm putting $80 aside for PT (since it sort of is needed for ring, or is very useful)
I already have an account at the party fishfest unfortunately.... not sure which bonuses they currently have running? Anyone fill me in? Should I move my money over tonight?
EDIT: Also, I'll be transitioning over from SNGs (and some MTTs) to ring only. What changes to my game should I be making? See more flops with lesser holdings? (like suited connectors, connecting cards with position and Ax sooted???) *looks for Renton* Where are thy tips sir?

Log in to your Party client and it will tell you what bonuses you are eligible for, if any. Suggest you go read Aok's beginner guides and use those as your bible for the time being.

Link to Aoks guide? By the way, I'm not a complete retard, heh. I've beaten 5NL, 10NL and I can play well on Stars 25NL, but I am just going to DEDICATE myself to ring from now on... right now I'm playing the $16 turbos on stars... (just incase I've came across as someone who hasn't played much poker..)

If I were you I'd go to PSO and do their PokerTracker promotion. I did it on Paradise last month myself. The PT deal stacks on top of the regular 25% up to 50$ sign up bonus (unofficially you can deposit 400$ and get 100$ bonus). I think it's 500rh for the regular bonus + 500rh for PT.

You've been playing for 3 months. Read:
http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-34753.htm
SnG players making the transition have a habit of getting bored, then getting reckless, then losing their rolls.

Can't do the PSO deal Halv Someone in this house has already DONE things on PSO.....
Reading that now Warpe, but as I said, I've beaten 5 and 10NL already, so I'm not going to get bored and bust my roll I'm just looking to pick up other pointers about ring that I may not already know (and to make sure I should be at party)

While we're at it, reread every one of the threads in the Beginner's Digest:

Go to the House of cards subforum and read the digest, or go to cainobonuswhores, casinobonuspages or casinodave.com. That said, Bet365 is probably a good one to do next.
Mods: is it ok to refer to these sites? If not, feel free to edit them out.

I would try to sign up for sunpoker w/ the rakeback you can get through ftr...you get a 40 dollar bonus every month w/out having to put in additional money...plus you'll probably make at least 100 dollars a month in rake back, depending on number of tables you play and hours a day you play you could make up to 200 probably. then when you have enough money i would deposit 500 dollars at interpoker w/ the 35 percent rake back bonus for interpoker...which i wish i could get...plus they have a 100 dollar a month bonus...i think i heard chicagokid say he has this deal.
once you have money on both accounts you can play sun untill you earn the automatic 40 dollar bonus and hopefully make money along the way, and then you can remove 100 dollars from sun and move it to interpoker every month for their bonus. i think this is a great way to go because of the rake back. once you have about 1500 dollars THEN i would start whoring pp.
i started out bonuswhoring interpoker and i made a huge mistake by not getting rakeback, rakeback is a must have for begining players as far as i am concerned, not to mention the fact that it can pay huge dividends if you eventually move up to higher limits.

Just play a really tight and aggressive abc game to start. When that works out, start open limping suited connectors and suited aces and play your draws really aggressively. The biggest difference between tourneys and ring is the existance of meaningful implied odds. The stacks are usually deep enough that you can make calls without proper pot odds, instead relying on implied odds. Examples are calling raises from people who rarely raise, with suited connectors and small pairs so you can stack their obv AA/KK when you hit.

i see this opinion aired frequently. what stakes do you feel this to be true for? i find no significant difference in my winrates (400nl) between PP, PRoom or PStars. Stars has grown so much in the past 18 months that i feel the quality of play at ring games has deteriorated. IMO, the hardest cash games online can be found at UB.
