i've played in a couple home games with buddies and would finally like to move on to some online play. i've been rereading my books, browsing this site, however i'm still deciding on which cardroom to play at.
i like party and the party skins and the idea of doubling up on bonuses, however i like poker stars and their smaller stakes games.
since you all have some experience, what would you all recommend to an online beginner such as myself, looking for some low stakes nlhe?

Definitely start with PokerStars. Wait for Party Poker until you have the bankroll to maximize your bonuses.

When I first started playing I was horrified at the thought of playing a .05/.10 game on the internet . Things change. I think PokerStars and their microlimits are an excellent place for new players to start.

Paradise, UB and Stars all have penny/two penny games.

depends whether you want to play ring/cash games or tournaments (MTT's or SnG's)
If it's the former, I don't really know sorry, because I play mostly SnGs.
If it's the latter, you could do have a read through DavSimon's SnG guide, the last post of which has a good review of a lot of online sites
