Not a big month volume or profit wise, HOWEVER it was probably some of the best poker I've played since I left for boot camp so that = win. The big dip is from Thursday night, where I tilted off some stacks. This is 5nl 6m, 10nl 6m, 10nl FR.

Here's to a kick ass new year, and future Supernova.

December 2009 Performance Update
25NL: +$223
SNG/MTT: +$425 (55 events)
Rakeback: +$121
Total December: +$769
Great month overall but a mediocre end to the month following the early month heaterage.

December: Low volume month-Cash games= $336, Donkaments/SNGs= $32

We might as well post 2009 graphs while we're at it. $2,350 in cash and another $750 or so in donkaments/SNGs.
Goals for 2010. At least 3 times as much volume, become a reg at 100nl.

5NL - 6 Max
I'm getting back into poker after a 2-month break. I usually play 2-3 tables and I'm studying more.
If I get in a little more volume this month, I'll get back to 10NL for another shot.

50NL FR: $360 + $55 in bonuses
I'm really happy with how this month turned out. Mainly considering that I haven't played in two 1/2 months and didn't start until Dec 12. So it's almost 1/2 as many hands as usual but the results are as good/better than usual (I've never beaten 50 this consistently). And I'm starting to think all the ups and downs are because I have trouble adjusting to the table. I play mainly in the morning, 9a-Noon, and late night, 1a-3a and as you guys know the tables play very differently at those times. So that's something to work on in January...

After a meh 4 months of pokerz, I took September basically off and spent most of Oct/Nov playing HU SnG's. At Thanksgiving, I basically started from scratch and rebuilt my entire poker game. Though rolled for more, I started at 10 nl for first 4k hands. About break-even since I was experimenting. Then ~1.5 BB/100 with 25nl and 2.25 BB/100 at 50nl. I'm minimally rolled for 100nl, but I'm staying with 50nl right now to keep working on the basics.
Oh yeah, plus $100 bonus and rakeback, etc. Up about $700 overall since Thanksgiving. And feelin' much better about my game.

Don't wanna hijack the thread, but it feels good to be back. I needed a "for the love of the game" break this Fall, just checking to make sure I care enough to keep grindin', learnin' and postin' on FTR.
Turns out I do.
Glad to see you had a good month even with all your time off. GLGL on supernova.

Glad you are back because you contibute so much to the BC. But, could you elaborate on the quote, please. Ypu've been playing a loooong time. What did you see that needed a rebuild in your game?

I'm a bit uncomfortable spelling out my thoughts in the BC basically because I'm trying some "non noobie standard" things. This Exploitation and the FTC Theorem article was a poker epiphany for me, and if you understand it well (or something similar like Renton's ABCD Theorem or ISF's Theorem) then it leads to several conclusions. I will say that combined with FTC stuff, I played tons of HU SnG's which really helps you improve your villain profiling, hand reading, range estimating and exploiting against all types of players. For anyone who wants details spelled out (and who's not a total FTR noobie), there's a fairly obvious way to get to posts where I explain my recent thinking/poker development.
