What do I do? I have to standard raise to 5x and a c-bet is 2/3 the pot. I'm having a probem with some of the regulars floating on my c-bets and its getting expensive. In position, OOP, it doesn't matter. I try and c-bet about 60-70% of flops.
How do you deal with these guys?
Is firing second barrels worth it? I've check raised a few AA's too but I don't get to do that safely much. Any other tricks?

for second barrells, I think it depends on the read. you have to put them on a range of hands they called your raise with. if you think they're on a draw caling your flop bet, you can try to price them out of it on the turn.

if you are sure they are floating, you can make it a lot more expensive for them than it is for you. i usually c/r the turn huge.

Fire second barrells with air, check behind medium strong hands to induce river bets, check/raise the turn sometimes with hands you will take to the felt.

hmmm. if youre that sure that they are on a big draw (8-9) outs, i think its best (with air, or air-) to check the turn and bet the river if it appears theyve missed. with a lot of players, youll have to make a bigger turn committment than its proabably worth to knock them off the hand. if you get called on the turn, the pot has swelled so much that the hand is played out completely differently on the river.

Or just push the turn.I've done with the second nut flush when someone is trying to draw out on me with the Ace-xo of that suit.

I usually fire a second and third barrell with air on the turn and river (that is If I observed them enough to be just floating) when I have Position. By the time the river comes and they check again...its going to be hard for them to call a pot size bet with a marginal hand.
When I'm OOP, and I'm against a weak player, I'll check-raise if I led preflop. If my opp. calls the flop bet, I'll check the turn, and if he checks too, i'll fire a pot size bet on the river. The only reason why I check-raised on the flop with air is to get enough money into the pot when the river hits. Usually by then the pot will be big enough for me to bet it's size and get my opp. to fold a marginal hand.

ummm.... check/call the turn and value bet the river.
|

To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.
