Hand 1:
I know I was all over the place on this hand- I'd just like to get a better idea of how I could've handled it- fold pf? The thing is this table is loose and there tends to be lots of money in the pot- I wanted to get it before it was gone. Anyways, I put him on a lot of 99-KK AK AQ AJ KQ KJ anyway, I figured there was a big enough amount of hands where he didn't have the ace that it was worth one raise over his cbet- maybe I should've c/f'd flop I dunno. Anyways, I was too scared of the c/r on the river so Im guessing thats a sign I should've folded. I'm probably just spewing money. Would you guys bet the river?

Hand 2:
Is this pretty standard for an overpair to a board like this? He'd be raising me with a set, correct? Do I fold if he comes over the top on the river in a spot like this?

H1- Fold pre, This flop isn't a good one to bluff at multiway, and never minraise unless you have an excellent reason to. You have to put both players on a range.
H2-Raise way more preflop. 4x the BB + 1 for each limper. I'd bet the turn way harder. Had you raised appropriate amounts the river would be pretty trivial.
H3- I assume you had a read that he tries to steal a lot pots when checked to or something. Regardless, I'd probably bet the flop and turn. You should get called by a lot of pps and drawy type hands, and if the maniac wants to spazz he'll get his chances.

bet sizing, u bet like a girl.
1: why are u raising? are we getting better hands to fold by minraising? are we getting worse hands to call? his range is predominately ax by the river so checkin back is fine.
2: raise more pre. u have a very strong hand against their calling ranges but u lose alot of equity when u have more villains. 4x +1bb/limper is the general rule. something like .16 is good and likely gets calls from all sorts of garbage.
theres alot of straight draws and flush draws in villains ranges so i like betting a tad more on the flop to like .22 or so.
bet more on turn, A9, and draws will call alot. 56 gets there, but theres enough that calls to betting good still, so bet like .45 or so.
we're no longer getting value from flush draws by the turn, so this is likely a check.
h3: u have no betsizing in this hand to critique cuz u like never bet :P
pre: this is a little more than normal, but at 2nl ur likely to be called by a wide range pretty often still, so its not terrible.
bet flop. we get a bunch of better hands to fold here that arent likely to call when we hit an a,k, or flush.
turn, bet.
river, bet! check minraises are stupid.

hand 1. why are you so psyched about second pair? call flop
hand 2. did you really expect people to fold when you bet 3x? make it bigger and they'll still call
hand 3. don't check three streets you're giving him a chance to show down a marginal hand

Alright thanks for all the input on hands 1 and 2
but... for hand 3 this guy was seriously playing everything and taking stabs at every pot- I think I get what you guys are saying though that overall I'll make more money by betting my streets when he does have a marginal/low grade hand, correct?

well he didn't stab on the flop so obviously the only reason that you got action is that he probably had something too
