What do you guys prefer to use? It seems that BB is probably better because it can be used easily in math analyze + one can add 2/3rds of the ante to the BB, and 1/3 of the ante to the SB for a "true" BB number.

This.

But it doesn't really matter, the important thing is to be aware of stack size, its implications and to involve it in your strategic thinking.

M is supposed to be better because it takes into consideration the antes that become an important factor in the later stages of a tournie.

I'm not sure you have. Your version suggests that M is used outside of tournies as well.

This, because JKDS is right about mostly everything, especially on how to lose multiple buy-ins with deceptive speed at the FTR PLOL game.

Your version suggested M was used outside of tournies and mine was changed specifically to show that it's not.....................

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but I usually think in terms of BB. However, I seem to think in terms of M around the bubble.

FU penney.

Also to make this not a spam post, you should also be using Q for tournies.

Also While u can use bb in tourneys...its better to use M because survival is very important in a tournament setting. Knowing how many orbits you have before the blinds kill you is crucial information and you'd be wise to use it. Meanwhile, who the fuck cares what your M is in a cash game? If your stack is below what you want it to be then u just reload duh

One may add 2/3rds of all the antes to the BB to find the effective BB.
