what the actual hell are you doing on the flop? B/f is probably fine since he's limp calling trash and will fold tons of spadeless unpaired hands. Failing that, just c/f ffs.

No street makes any sense here. Please explain your thought process at least.

You know, "no street makes any sense here" can be a great line to take if one plays at the level of Phil Ivey or Chris Furgeson. Precisely because one can induce an opponent with a made hand to fold on the river to ace high.

But since OP is playing 2NL, may I recommend that he play ABC poker instead?

Yah didn't mean to mislead you OP, preflop is awesome.

Law Dude - It's not a case of playing ABC poker or not playing ABC poker, it's a case of not making horrible -EV plays.

I just wanted to take the pot down somehow. this guy was calling everything, I was missing flop and maybe a little bit on tilt. I know a bluff was the only to take it down.

I wouldn't make it a habit to bluff individuals that don't frequently fold.

And regardless, if you are going to make a play what are you doing on the flop? If you want to make a play just bet/fold the flop, or even c/raise would be better than c/call. Then leading the turn for half pot against a villain who doesn't care to fold doesn't make much sense.

I'll say one thing about this. IF you get to the river AND you think Villain's line indicates that they do not have the flush, THEN you can try a river bluff, even at 2NL. But the real question here is what the heck are you doing in this hand on the river in the first place?

Yes, especially at the level I played.

I had been waiting for some real hands and when they came I missed the flops and this guy flatted c-bets. need more patience.

1) Flop: I have two over cards and I might still have good odds (I exclude As,Js).

2)Turn: I wanted to pretend like I have AK, Kx and decided to lead.

3)River: My last and possibly the only chance to take the pot down is going all in.

could we like at least have the 2 of spades to c/float this flop?

also, why are you floating a friggin' "loose passive" player. for starters, a float is a bluff play and you shouldn't be making too many of those against people who call too much. second off, it relies on someone to be betting with a weak range, and this guy's passive, so why do we think that he's making a play at this pot very often.

just flop top pair, make money against said opponent. yadda yadda yadda i couldn't catch a flop this session yadda yadda yadda. that's no excuse to make -EV plays, and it certainly doesn't make rebluffing a friggin calling station any more EV. just swallow your pride and wait to get a hand with which you can value pwn the villain

Not a good idea to bluff a calling station. You better make him pay when you have a hand.

About this hand, it's a fold flop for me, cause you miss it and can't really improve. You where really lucky here.
