The fact that he's leading out and not check-raising is an excellent sign. You're ahead here almost all the time.

I come back to the same table an hour later (I left for a tourney earlier), and find myself with the same player (we'll call him joe) that donated his chips last game.
100$ buyin nl ring game--about the 20th hand.

Seat 1
Seat 2 $30
Seat 3
Seat 4 -Joe with $130
Seat 5
Seat 6
Seat 7
Seat 8 Hero $104 dealt 8d9d
SB
BB

Seat 1 fold
Seat 2 call
Seat 3 fold
Joe raise to $2
Seat 5 fold
Seat 6 fold
Seat 7 fold
Hero call
SB fold
BB call
Seat 2 reraise to $8 --I was actually not too worried about this play as seat 2 seemed really tilty (lost major pots the past few hands with junk) and I didn't think Joe would be able to let go of a big hand.

Joe call
Hero call
BB call

flop is Ts 7d 6h
Seat 2 bets all in ($22)
Joe call
Hero call
BB fold

turn is Ts 7d 6h 5d
Joe check
Hero all in ($74)
Joe call

river is a harmless Qh, and Joe has A9o and Seat 2 QQ

I love joe!

Fold preflop. Tilty shortstack will most likely push on most flops and he doesnt have enough behind to reward you for hitting enough to offset preflop calls.

The shortstack doesnt have enough but Joe does(he had me covered). And he called. You still think it's a preflop fold?

Actually, Joe will probably make it a good call. Since he loves to call weak.

Hey that's the Rounders hand.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
