Do you think after betting in early position and then getting re-raised minumum ,and the turn comes that as long as I still have top pair as I did above I should bet out again? I usually check/fold the rest of the hand out of fear of higher pockets, two pair,or a set...Is this wrong thinking?

Sure, it's possible he hit a set on the flop. Whatever the case, you were the ant under his foot, the dingleberry on his TP.

You've got to be the one forcing people out of the pot. Especially preflop. When he puts out that weak turn bet, you've got to think about the fact that calling the weak turn bet sends the message that you don't really have a huge hand - setting youself up for facing a huge river bet. It's possible he's just got A8, or a missed flush draw and is feeding off your fear. Find out where you stand and make him be the one to sweat.

You let him draw for his 8s full to beat you. Raise the flop. Raise the turn. RAISE.

My diagnosis: weak.

This was a weakass play.

I'd reraise preflop to $3 or something.

I'd reraise the flop to $12.

I'd bet $25 on the turn (Pot sized, I think this makes him all in).
