i think one of my biggest leaks is money extraction... i get very greedy and instead of making value bets i push since i'm playing in donkey land and i get paid off sometimes but then i don't haha...

this is one of early hands i have an example of that i managed to dig up from my database... i have no idea what to do on the turn at this point... check or bet?..

Bet about .20 here. He may overthink this or may be wanting to c/r you.
Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

I would bet bigger on the flop adleast .14 and I would cbet turn 1/2, 2/3 pot against an average NL2 player. More reads would help you can bet differently depending on villian playing style and your image to villian.

Hoopy is an unknown quantity at this point
Bet a little more on the flop, around $0.14 should be good. Turn depends on you read on him, if you think he'll be scared off by the ace then bet small to keep him in the pot. If he check raises you thats even better.

When you have a hand like this, your obvious goal is to get as much money in the pot as is humanly possible.

I hate it when an ace falls in this situation because it seems more often than not, it's scarier to the villain than not. Villain is usually thinking "hey, my opponent has like AQ or AK or AT here," and then the ace falls and he figgures he's beat."

While it's a huge mistake not to bet with the nuts here, it's not a giant leak because it's very rare that you'll have the stone cold unbeatable nuts.

All that having been said, I'd rather bet here. It really kinda sucks that you bet so little on the flop, because the turn is still relatively small.

So as played I'd be more willing to bet something like 2/3rds the pot on the flop, and 2/3rds the size of the pot on the turn too. and pray to god something like an 8 or a king or a diamond falls on the river.
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

Since the ace popped on the turn i might check the turn with him because i might get a bet from him on the river by doing that and it makes it look like i bluffed on the flop and gave up on the turn. What if he has A-Q here? He's gonna wanna get value on his hand if he think you don't have much but maybe 88 1010 then he might pop a 10c bet and thats when you 3-4 bet him to get him to call your quads and if reraises you then CHA-CHING. A lot of people are saying bet bet bet but with a pair on the board and your holding both of the other jacks you KNOW hes not calling you with much which means you need to let him catch up and make a hand and if he has a hand like 99 in this case hes gonna bet the river if you check but say he has a Q-10 then you want to check and hopefully he will hit that straight, but if he doesnt hit it he still might bluff on the river just because he missed and he has no other way to win the hand. Betting real low may work in some cases against a aggresive player because they can't help but raise you thats when you smooth call and let him fire another round because most of the time a LAGG will. Let him make a somewhat of a hand or else your not gonna make a thing but maybe a dime and we want more than that!!!!!
Stack That Arab Money!!!
