is it ever a good idea to chase a flush?
i was big blind so i checked through a K/J suited
the flop gave me two more suited
and i was in against one other player
i fished him in and then bet hard chasing the final suited card to get the flush
i never got the card and lost the hand but i still think i would do it again cause most people would go with just a pair knowing what i was doing.

No hand history = almost impossible to give a reasonable answer for that specific situation.
Chasing a flush is done if the odds give you the chance to do so.

Yea, chasing flushes is only good if you are getting odds to do so. Theres a page on the poker strategy section (click the link at the top) which explains pot odds.
