I condensed Tanaka's explanation of the Group-based "Playable Starting Hands" strategy section of the FTR site into a handy 1-page battle card.

Let me know if this is useful or not. And if there is something incorrect or some improvements I could make let me know as well.

I dont know...I dont think it's a good idea to size your preflop raises so close in relation to the strength of your hand. People will pick up rather fast on that I guess.

As Wyvver said, sizing your preflop raises in relation to the strength of your hand makes you incredibly easy to read by even a half-awake opponent. Standardize your raises in relation to the pot & number of limpers, NOT your hand strength.

There are lots of decent hand charts out there for beginners. Don't waste your time trying to reinvent the wheel.

this is absolutely a joke
My bankroll is the amount of money I would spend or lose before I got a job. It is calculated by adding my net worth to whatever I can borrow.

charts are for limit and blackjack IMO. Deepstack NL is way too situational to chart.

I agree, trying to summarize all the ideas in the http://poker-strategy.flopturnriver.com/ section into one chart is dangerous and can be misleading. If someone just looked at that chart and did not read the strategy section he or she would be missing out on crucial information.

So assuming the user has read and soaked in the strategy behind those from the strategy section of the site, and then standardizing an opening bet of 3 to 4 times the BB, then the chart may be useful?

If not, then what's considered the ultimate starting hands list?

fewer hands in EP & more hands in LP. raise more often then you limp (IMO).

When I first started playing poker and found FTR that was the starting hand chart I used.

Nothing about position?

Nothing about number of limpers?

Dude just pot it anytime you do , raise all groups from the button and tighten up as you are closer to utg. UTG should be playing top two groups plus limping (and raising) with higher sc's and small pocket pairs.

In general raise when you open, and raise the pot with limpers before you unless there is a good reason not to. (e.g. a whole table of stations just limped and you have ace 2 suited...might want to call only)

But that chart is useless.
Me? I always tell the truth.

Even when I lie.
