Well I decided to take some moola off my Pokerstars account to bonus whore around. So far I've done Party/Absolute/Full Tilt and have lost at all sites so far. I've actually have made money because of the bonuses, but it isn't going as good as I had hoped. I think part of this reason is because it is so damn hard to get use to the interface. Esspecially my latest bonus I am trying to work off, Full Tilt. This bonus is going to take a looooong time at 25nl (so long infact I don't think it is worth it). It sounds kind of silly, but because I am not use to it, I find it very hard to play. Is this something that some of your bonus whores/people who play at more than one site ran into at first?

I had been playing at Pokerstars for over a year so I am very use to the look/flow/feel of play. It is much different at other sites, and I am finding it very difficult to gain reads/information.

I guess there really isn't a set answer to my question, because I guess it could be varience, or it could be that I am not use to the interface and it is affecting my play, but is this something other people have ran into? For people who bonus whore around, how does it effect your reading abilities? I have a hud and it helps, but isn't really isn't as effective with a low amount of hands. Do you just play your cards/assume weak players at low limits?

Could also be that the general play is different. Not that they are better or anything, just different than what you are used to?

Yes this could be another factor for sure. FullTilt is not only down right ugly, but soooo much different than any other site I have played at. What I never understand, is why their commercials is all about "professionalism," but when you log into the site you see the "cartoony" interface. I definitely didn't expect to see it when I logged in.

Anyone have any advice for adjusting to new sites?

Yeah I think prima plays more like stars.. less crazy than party etc. Imo apart from the interface problems (which I think are real as it messes up your feel with the game, atleast in my limited experience at other sites) you still need to find out how to take money from suckier players

you have to get used to the change in play at different sites. I wouldnt take my Prima game to stars, whereas i woudlnt play a stars type game on party or tribeca

I played freerolls at all bigger sites, maybe you should play one of those at each new site before you begin playing ring at a new site, it really kinda distracts you when you dont know where everything is, UI wise.

At UB, when raising/betting, right beside the amount slider where usually 'bet this amount' would be, they have 'bet the pot'.
I ended up misclicking on 'bet the pot' a few times when I actually wanted to bet the amount I set with the slider.

I had something similar, hoping around different sites to whore took me out of my comfort zone when playing at new sites, but it affected me less and less over time. Also, dont play the exact same game at every site, work out you average villans, how to exploit them and adjust you game accordingly.

I have noticed that Prima full ring is a lot like Stars.

Right now I'm enjoying the Party/Pacific/Crypto donkfest. And I have trouble multi-tabling across these groups.

If your game is tuned and you are winning there, stick with it.

last 4400 hands at party dead even
last 9400 hands at Poker Room/Hollywood 10.3 ptbb/100

I don't think party is nearly as "fishy" as its made out to be. Or maybe I don't play well against fish

The main thing you are running into is the difference in play at each site. It takes me a while (10k hands +) to tune my game to fit the new site. 25nl at Stars, I was 11BB/100, Party 6BB/100 and now Pokerroom/Hollywood/Holdem 10BB/100. The key is that I have played >10k hands at only Pokerroom and Stars. I started playing at Stars and then moved to Pokerroom. Initially, my winrate was low at Pokerroom (5bb/100), but as I adjusted my game over time, it got more profitable. Party I only played to get the bonuses and thus have maybe 5k hands there...
