I find that playing 2-4 tables at once forces me to play good hands, thus enabling me to lower my bad beats.

Fnord is right .... it wasn't normal. I tried the three table thing last night and didn't do nearly as well. The cards didn't come like they had before and I had to work hard just to stay even. Oh well, even is fine with me - I had fun doing it. |

A Bad Beat is when you lose a hand despite putting in most of your money as a heavy favorite. Premium hands hit more flops harder than non-premium hands, hence you should be ahead more often on the flop. Having bad beats put on you is just part of playing winning poker. Hence, by playing tigher you should expect more bad beats against you and fewer for you. | |
