Sorry for the regional question, but does anyone know of a Poker site that does business in Canadian dollars? It's hard enough trying to learn the game without having to worry about exchange rates.

Thanks.

Just open a Neteller account in US funds and don't worry about it.

Thanks guys.

Neteller sounds like a good idea. Do you have to set up an account with Neteller beforehand or does the poker site give you the option to do that when you register?

I have been playing the fake money SNGs on Scorepoker.com and want to try the real thing now. Despite my play money success, I'm sure I am in for a rude awakening on a real money site. Do you guys have any recommendations on the best sites for SNG tournaments?

I'd recommend PokerStars for starting out with SnG's.

My neteller is also in Canadian funds... but I wish it weren't! I have been doing some bonus whoring lately and when x-ferring money in and out from neteller to various sites (namely party, noble and inter) and watching it constantly go from USD to CDN and back to USD again gets slightly annoying and harder to keep track of what exactly your BR is. It's much easier to watch the money get converted by your bank when it finally lands back into your chequing account, as far as I'm concerned I play with american - it's only Canadian if and whenI take it back out.

hi,

i had the same question myself.
so i did some digging and actually came up with one...

http://www.maplecasino.ca/index.asp

their site says all the way at the bottom:
Play in Canadian Dollars, US Dollars, UK Pounds and Euros.
i called and they do have limit & no limit hold 'em.

i have not played here, but i may and if i do i will post a
review. please do the same if you decide to play there
as i'm curious but can't join until i get my home computer
back.

also, i started at the play money tables at tigergaming and their
real money games are US dollars only

You guys do realize that each time Neteller converts your money that they take 1.9%?

So, if you withdraw from Party so that you can deposit into Stars (purely as an example), you get hit with 1.9% on the withdrawal, and then 1.9% on the deposit. Then when you want to take money from Stars and say put it in your bank account you get hit with another 1.9%.
