Robb is an unknown quantity at this point
Apologies. This might get long. I'd like to know if my general thinking is correct. Here are some things I've learned lately at NL10:

1. How much I c-bet is one of the biggest adjustments I make each session.
2. Folding lots of flops makes your image weak-tight.
3. A weak-tight image is very cool when you pick up AA and flop a set.
4. C-bets are free money when everyone else is weak-tight.
5. C-bets work better in 6-max where there are fewer opponents who might have started with good hands.

I have become convinced that the key to pwning NL10 at UB is to figure out early in a session whether to be a c-betting monkey or a conservative postflop player. Generally weekends are better for being conservative - no foldem holdem. Weeknights often have a lot of weak-tights, and firing another barrel with overcards to the flop or a medium pair is +EV - big time. But it's not a perfect rule - each session and table has its own "culture" and tendencies.

I have some 1k hand sessions where I c-bet nearly 80% of the time with 2 villains or less. And I have some 1k sessions where I c-bet more like 20% of the time.

Of course, PT/HUD reads come into it. But (Miffed will LoL when he hears me say it) two players with roughly the same stats can still play very differently. There's more to reads than 32/5/2.2. And a table of fish schools quickly, obliterating the +EV in c-betting, even when any one of the fish ought to be c-bet heads up.

So how should I start each session? Err towards conservative? Or err towards c-bet monkey? I tried the c-bet monkey route until this week, but the tables seem different lately. And you can quickly cough up a buyin or two 9-tabling like a c-bet monkey when no one will fold.

This week I started being more conservative initially, and opening up later. But that route loses money, too, against seriously weak-tight tables. I have begun ID'ing tables during each session that are c-bet friendly and moving them to the top of the screen. That way I have different c-betting "defaults" for different tables. Then I adjust from there based on individual reads.

Currently, it takes me about 400 total hands across 9 tables to feel like I'm happy with my c-betting rates on most of the tables. I'm playing about 80% FR these days (thanks for the tip, Renton).

My question is whether my approach is reasonable. Do you alter how often you c-bet based on tables? Or do you just use heads up reads? And how do you default when you don't have a read? Or a poor read? Do you track your table image and c-bet differently based on that? I'd like to hear from players anywhere up to NL100 who use a wide range of c-betting rates and learn how you decide when and where to c-bet.
