I am looking for some advice on ordering a book from Pokerstars using my FPP. I am looking at these two by Sklansky: Theory of Poker and No Limit Hold Em.

My background is that I have been playing online quite a few hours per week since last fall. I have been profitable over the past few months since starting at Stars, quadrupling my original bankroll so far. I ordered Harrington on Hold Em Vol. 1 a few weeks ago and am working my way through that, so this would be the next book on my list. I would say I play about 80% full ring (10 and 25 NL levels), and about 20% tourneys and sng's. For those of you who have read both, which would be the better pick for me.

Kind of cool that Stars allows you to accumulate points quite quickly when your reach Silver level, so whichever book I get will be an autographed copy.

Theory of Poker should be on everyone's bookshelf IMO.

SMALL STAKES HOLDEM, winning big with expert play.

Probobly the best one I've read.( I have a bookshelf full ) Fits right in with the cash game player.

Harrington on Holdem 1&2 are excellant as well, more tourny and sit and go focused but still lots of valuable info in it.

i agree that SSHE is a must read. it may be limit-based, but it transfers so well. it may teach you more than a NL book.

i also think that TofP is, too.

however, if you are at the silver level, you will eventually order every book they have...so, i dont know the rush. just get one of those two next.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!
