This is a totally hypothetical situation. Let's say you have Ah Kh OOP, raised 4x and got 1 unknown LP caller. Effective stack size is 100BB each.

Board is Kd 9s 8s giving you TPTK. You bet 2/3 pot (6x) and got called. Now the pot is ~21BB

Turn is a blank, say 3c, you again bet 2/3 pot and were called. Pot is 49BB.

River is Jc, which completed no flush but maybe some obscure straights or 2-pairs. What do you do now?
What if the river is......
b) Qc (completes JT and 2-pairs (KQ))
c) Js (completes flush, 2-pairs (KJ/J9), GSD (QT) or OESD (T7))
d) Qs (completes flush, 2-pairs (KQ/Q9) and OESD (JT))
e) 5c (completes 67)
f) 5s (completes flush and 67)
g) 2c (total brick)
h) 2s (completes flush)
i) 9h (improves 9x)

What if those scare cards appear on the turn?
What if you have KQh instead of AKh? How differently would you have played?

I think the more uncertain you are about villains hand, the more you should employ a blocking bet since you're unlikely to be raised, and you get to "set the price" rather than face a big bet youre unsure of -- is it a bluff? Is it the nuts?

The more certain you are of villains hand (and you can beat it, obviously) the more you should check and induce.
