I'm curious to find out how everyone plays hands in there blinds. How do you go about playing your blinds well you have a decent strong hand when everyone has limps in the pot. Ex: Suppose your in the small blind. You get 3 to 4 callers in front of you. Your cards are something like KQs or AJs. Now would a raise here be wise because if you raise 3 or 4 times the big blind and you get at least two front callers, everyone who's called previously will now want to stay in the pot because of great odds preflop. Whats worse is if you don't hit it'll be harder for you to steal the pot because of all the callers behind you. Any thoughts or advice playing the blinds???

I play very passively from the blinds, 10% flop rate from the SB.

This is the worst position(s) post flop. If you raise it up with a few limpers in the hand, the implied odds to call your raise increase because of position/$ invested/# of callers on your raise=good reason to call from the button with suited connectors (who were juust limping in late for cheap in the first place). Everyone has a pre-dealt advantage over you.

If you raise it up with AQ or AK and miss the flop (33%), you are now looking at a c-bet that could be -EV due to your position. Thus, I only raise from the SB or BB with JJ-AA... only 4 hands.

I'm not sure how my play from the blinds affects my overall profit because I haven't used pokertracker yet, but I do know that I play very few hands and raise even fewer.

From the BB im checking KQs type hands if there are alot of limpers. Ill play it for straight/flush/2 pair or call small bets with TP. I feel this is a disguised hand, and at the games im playing in I wont get many folds after the whole tables limped already. If I get a big hand like QQ+ then Ill always raise.

I play the small blind the same way but ill complete with a few extra drawing hands in very multiway pots like 58s, 74s etc.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.
