could someone please send me a link on blind stealing?
I was just in a single table SNG and busted out 1 spot from the money on a failed blind steal attempt. i had stole 2 blinds earlier, and this one that didn't work i had 9,2 offsuit and totally was caught when the dude called w/ KJ. only reason i did this is because i read on some website that folding equity (whatever that is... can someone explain that, as well?) says that it is a +EV move to push all in on a blind steal if you or the person you are stealing the blind from has a stack of 10xBB or less (although it actually came out to a +EV move if you or they had 13xBB or less, mathematically). this was assuming you were the SB and that everyone else had folded around to you and you were stealing only from the BB. when is stealing blinds a good idea? what hands should you do it with? the website said that any two cards would do, in theory.
yeah sure, it worked for me a couple times, but i guess i'm just bitter at busting out 1 away from the $$$.
And only cause I'm 5 sheets to the wind right now, i'll throw this up for discussion: how great is the music for the old-school nintendo games? I have a CD w/ nothing but classic nintendo music and my girlfriend was about ready to kill me after I was listening to it in the car for a half hour.... some people just don't understand....

Ok first of all forget the Nintendo discussion you have bigger problems. Did you think that just because you read that the situation gave you positive EV that it had to work every time, and now that it backfired you don't know what to think? Compare your stack to everyone elses. Were they all considerably healthy? If the BB was healthy you can't push everytime it folds to you in the SB. He'll get tired of it real quick and you better start showing up with hands. And your cards not mattering in a blind steal really is a rare situation. I think that's only true when you're shortstacked enough that you don't care if you're called because it's time to double or die. Had you not found a hand to push with when you weren't in the SB? If you played a single hand during this blind steal period in which you did not go all in that really shows weakness in your push from the SB. If you're willing to push with 9-2 from the SB then think about QJ from the button, or A9 UTG fourhanded. Surely in this time period you had something better than 9-2 to work with. If you have 10xbbs I don't see the point in stealing one BB. That gives you just one more rotation to pick up a hand basically. Don't get me wrong I steal BB's all the time, but I'm not gonna put my SnG on the line for one BB with 9-2, especially if I've already succeeded twice.

you're right. i do have much bigger problems. i opened up my party poker software and it said, "you are running an out of date version, please download the new version" it didn't give me any other options, so i had to click "OK". now, when i log on, the software freezes every time. i've tried uninstalling the software and reinstalling it. doesn't work. anyone else have this problem? i would like to have access to all the money i have on my account, and the phone number to PP is permanently busy...

This is the most important thing in this thread. AMEN BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God damn nintendo and super nintendo music rules. I find myself listening to random nintendo shit too and it makes me smile everytime cause it reminds me of being a wee little lad tearing up like mario 3 and super mario kart and contra and jackle and all kinds of shit. Man i loved my childhood. Its still pretty phat now but the nintendo playing all weekend long with ur tiny friends ruled. U could spend 3 dollars to rent a video game for 3 days and u were smiling all weekend long. Now it takes a helluva lot more than 3 dollars to usually keep me happy for long periods of time.

By the way - can u send me those songs over AIM or something cause i dont really have that much. I mainly have mario shit and random rpg shit ive found or has been attached to other shit i downloaded

Merce33-
Had the same trouble with the old software for Empire.

Try:
Go to Program Files.
Open Party.
Look for ###########.htf files (actual digit numbers, though).
Delete them or move them to the recycle bin.

One shows up in my Empire folder once every couple of weeks, screwing things up. I emailed help, and they said any htf file can go.

PS. Get a second opinion from Party Help before deleting stuff!!

Just because you are located in Notre Dame, Indiana, you can have all the nintendo mp3's you want. Go Irish!
Class of '02.

Ensign - the only thing that Sega ever had on Nintendo was that its version of Mortal Kombat showed blood.

Ha totally. I remember that day in history like it was yesterday too. I was pissed and would go to my friends how and play his sega version and we would rip peoples heads off with sub zero and their spines would hang.
