Whoa, been away for a few weeks and loads of new topics and members here. Great!
This may or not be of interest to someone. If you find it irrelevant, my apologies.
Recently, I had to stop playing poker whilst I was moving to a new country. I played a little bit on a couple of days, but not like I was before I left, which was pretty much daily, for around 2,000 hands a week.
What I found when I started playing in earnest again, was that I had lost my edge and, due to a large influx of new players at my limit and site, I was feeling almost as if I was a new player again.
I suffered some symptoms of moronicity. I dropped from 15 BB/100 to what you seen now, being as low as sub 11 BB/100. It took me about 3,000 hands to get back on track.
Moral of the story? Just like any craft or skill, practice makes perfect. Well, you'll never get perfect, but you know what I mean.
Whilst a break to stop tilt is adviseable, when you are playing well, I feel that you must beware of your return to the fields of battle after a long, unintended break. It's almost as if you get out of shape.
Which reminds me, I must get out for a run now, 'cause I've also been slacking in that discpline as well!
