I would like to know what people think in general with using a consistent betting percentage to follow in order to avoid variances.

i.e.
On the Button, you get AKs. 2 limpers, you PFR 5xBBs (3xBB+1 per limper). Both call (because thier just donks)

Flop comes something like K75 rainbow. Whatever comes you feel you're:
A. Have the best hand
B. Have the strongest hand whether you made it or not just yet.
C. You feel you have command of the hand at the table (position, reads, etc.).

Do you use a "standard" with:

C-Bets???
(I use above 1/2 to under 2/3rds of the pot - or @60%)

Turn and River Bets???
(I usually just double my bet from previous bet - i.e. $1 on Flop, $2 on Turn, $4 on River)

I generally bet consistantly, no so much for variance, but for deception. 4xBB + 1 per limper PF for things worth raising, limp marginal hands. I always C-Bet 50-75% if I was the aggressor, regardless of how I hit. This way they dont know until the turn or if they chance a reraise whether I have the goods or not. Since I generally only play fairly premium hands I generally have the goods, but they need to pay to find out.

Turn and River are variable. I'm either minimising losses or maximising gains (hopefully) depending on my read of the table. Raises will normally be in the range of 70 - 100% of pot, but it depends on my goals for the hand and the other players.

The other spot of variation is a reraise PF, mostly because I dont do it often so havnt worked out what I feel best about.

XTR1000 is an unknown quantity at this point

cbets are quite standard 2/3 to 3/4ish.
its no good to set a standard amount for turn and river bets, the size depends on what u want to achieve with those bets. if you feel like having the best hand, how likely is your hand to hold up, do u need to protect your hand? are your opp´s loose calling or are they afraid of big bets?
when drawing, block bet turn to give yourself correct odds.
hands with sd value, that arent strong enough to call big bets like river blocks, too.

if you´re sure you´re wa, your main goal should be to get as much money in the middle as possible. bet close to pot size on each street to hopefully get AI on the river.
