Hi,
I manage to win a 180 man SnG which has put my BR at about $100. I know not much but I could not play before because I never had the money, even though I know I do have some skills and Id liek to get better.
My dilemma is building a bigger BR.
Right now I am trying to win another 180 man SnG at $2.2 but that leaves with 50 buy in and winning these isnt necessarily easy.
Do you reckon it would be better to hit hte micro stakes cash game with a push/fold strategy waiting for the nuts to come or use something else?
Thanks

I wouldn't recommend nut camping in a cash game, however you may want to try your hand at some micro stakes single table SNG's as it seems you do pretty well at tournaments.

Poker is easy, it's winning at poker that's hard.

If your gonna build up your bankroll do it in a way that you also improve as a player, so that once you do have a bigger bankroll and are playing higher games you can excel and still make money.
First off, congrats on the 180 man SNG win. And also congrats on now haveing a beginning bankroll. But your first thing to worry about shouldn't be building a bigger bankroll. It should be devloping as a player, and playing solid poker. Of course, with that comes a bigger bankroll. But trust me, if you spend all your time focusing on whether your bankroll jumped up today or went down, times will be hard on your psychologically when you hit variance and have a downswing. Instead you should focus on playing solid poker and making correct moves (win or loss, because it happens).
RIght now there are a few options that you could take. Obviously you could play cash games. But you could also play SNGs, and maybe some very low stakes MTTs (although I'm not sure which).
If you choose to go the cash games you have 50 buyins for 2nl and 20 buyins for 5nl (.02/.05). While 20 buyins is enought to begin playing 5nl, if you feel inexperienced playing cash, I would suggest playing a little 2nl first as somewhat of a primer, moving up when your a little more experienced (and a little bigger bankroll wouldn't hurt).
If you chose SNGs, you have the same dilemma. You could comfortably play $5.50 SNGs (if you were experienced at them). However, if you aren't familiar with SNGs, I'd suggest playing some $1.10 turbos on Stars, or something similiar till you get the hand of it.
The main thing to remember at your currect level is that if you get on a downswing and begin to lose that you need to have the ability to drop back down a level when your bankroll hits the point. Do not chase your losses by moving up. It doesn't work that way. The higher stakes, the better the players, the easier they can exploit you. Move up when your bankroll, and you, are comfortable.

And lastly. While your best bet might just be to play micro stakes cash games (although I know SNGs are a good option as well at this level), it's not ideal to play the strategy you just stated. A push/fold strategy would generally mean you need to shortstack the stakes your at, and by doing that you miss out on alot of the skills needed to play solid poker in the long run. Not to mention that you can be easily exploited (although probably wouldn't happen at micro). Your best bet is to put in the hard work and read up beginner's digest, and digest in the forum of the game you chose to play, and learn to play correct poker. In the long run, it will help you loads more to build your bankroll. Good luck.

Maybe. As GatorJH said, if your feeling confident with your SNG game its not a bad way to build a BR there. Many here started out like that and switched to cash games later.

100% no. Although micros can be beat with a fairly nitty strategy, playing push-or-fold is bad. It will hurt your learning progress and you´re missing a ton of money.
