I recently read a post stating that games are tougher to beat during the work day. I was unable to find anything specific in the search engine about the best time of day to find good games.
What time of day/days of the week is one likely to find the best games?

I too have been interested in this and it has been discussed as the following links show. Hope they help.

As a side note/update:
1pm to 6pm EST - I have found a high number of players at sites which draw many European players. e.g. Prima sites (see list), Cryptologic sites such as Interpoker.
7pm to 1am EST - often 55,000+ at Party and good player populations at most sites which draw from the North American base.
I believe as previously stated that more players on board (relative to total numbers) means a higher % of weaker players.

Great info, I wonder why it didn't come up when I searched "time".
The previous post leads to another question...
Which sites have a large european player base and which sites have a predominant base of North American players?

From what i can tell all the really big players are predominantly american player bases (ie PP, stars, pacific, paradise) European sites are VCpoker, interpoker, ladbrokes. Its a bit of a pain for european players on american sites if, as you say, it is harder to beat games during the american workday because that is our evening time when i get to play more. If you go on a european site around 7pm ET it'll be midnight, 1am here so there may be some drunk/tired players about, maybe worth a try, if anyone notices a big difference let me know.

This is going to sound incredibly dumb, and I'm probably going to open myself up all kinds of shots but, what form of currency do the European sights use: The Euro, Pound, Dollar or a combination of one or more?
I'm hoping the only dumb question is the one that is unasked.

The Prima site I play at uses US$ so I assume the other Prima sites must be US$ as well.
Interpoker is interesting in that they have US$ tables as well as UK pound and Euros. Apparently the rake structure on the UK pound tables is very poor because the max rake at low limit is 3 pounds (about $6) rather than $3 as it is at the dollar based tables. Have not confirmed this personally though, wondered if this is a fact?

this is correct.
The max rake is 3($/Pounds).

I play in superior poker and I cant really tell a difference in players skills depending on the time, I think its the same, it doesnt matter at what time you play

I did notice yesterday that the tables tightened up on me significantly one the early NFL games began. The % of players seeing the flop dropped by an approximate average of 15% on the limits that I was playing. This was a significant enough change that I too left the tables.

My SnG stats show a definite trend for good results for me at 2am Eastern (7am my time). This is due to me being a morning person and I am definelty sharper then and there are lots of drunk/tired Americans. This is one place where Stars has an edge as I can watch the SnG fill and if it is mainly Americans then I will join. I often see a lot of chat about this being there last one before bed and more trash talk than usuall.

Yes, this country's full of them.
I too find this one of the softer times at stars. I sleep a lot during the day and am awake at night. Taking advantage of a fatigued group of players when you are fresh is a huge advantage.

in my experience, i have found that on weekdays between about 5 PM EST and 9 PM EST, there are a lot of fish. the only reason i could think of is all the people coming home from work need to wind down a bit and drop some bucks on the low end SNG's i frequent. luckily, my messed up work schedule gives me that time off most of the week. as far as ring games, i'm not too sure, but weekends would seem like a good time to find them.
