Coming from a 6-max 50NL point of view.

Someone puts a gun to your head and tells you to raise to with 72o.

You can do this:

A. When folded to on the button.
B. When folded to in the small blind.
C. In the big blind, when everyone folds to the small blind who completes (is "open completing" a term?).

In which order, please?

In other words, in which of these situation is your raising range the loosest, and in which is it the tightest?

My answer is C, A, then B. My thinking is that on the button we have position, and are up against players with random hands, however we have to fold out two players. In the small blind, we only need to fold out one player with a random hand, and we have half a blind of our raise in already, however if we get called, we're OOP with with garbage, and that's super -ev. In the big blind, at least SB has shown some interest in his hand, but worst case scenario (short of getting 3 bet) we're IP in a heads up pot.

If you see this differently, please explain your thinking.

Moreover, how much tighter than the other positions are you in each? In situation B, I'm super tight. I play there like I'm in MP. Right to be the tightest position, but way too tight?

+1

I'd 4bet and follow it with a 3barrel if someone had a gun to my head.
