Hey guys just thought I'd share my thoughts on an online poker book I recently discovered called "Evolve Poker"
I had actually been looking for a good quality book about online cash games, and I wasn't having much luck. I found plenty of books based on live play (which I play often enough) but couldn't find any promising books for online cash games.
Well after Googling all over the place (that sounds dirty) for like a month I stumbled across this site:
EvolvePoker.com
At first I was a little skeptical, but I joined their newsletter to find out more about the book. After a while I gave in and bought it.
Well let me tell you, I am really glad I did. First of all, it's a package, it comes with more than just the e-book. It also comes with another mini e-book called "Evolve Poker Dominate SnGs" which is kinda short but really does give a lot of great tips on how to beat SnGs, and it also came with these HUGE player charts where it tells you how to react to every betting pattern on every street by every kinda player in most situations... pretty amazing stuff.
But the coolest part of it is that it comes with a script that they call "UBMine". I'm an Ultimate Bet player so this was one of the big factors in me buying it. What this script does is convert Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker Instant replay files into hand history files so you can get stats on the tables/players long before you sit down (like in the good ol days in Ultimate Bet). Now once again I'm only joining tables at Ultimate Bet with losing players and it has helped me win a lot.
Overall, I really recommend the Evolve Poker e-book package to anyone who is looking for a book specifically about online cash games and hasn't had any luck. It answered my prayers that's for sure.
John of Spades gives the Evolve Poker book a great 9 / 10.

I gotta say, spamming poker forums with this kinda junk is pretty funny. I would think that the target audience would be not members of a poker forum since we know better.

Whoa, you guys get angry easily eh?
It's not spam, it's a legit review, and yes I posted my review across a few poker forums because I plan on reviewing poker books. Hope that doesn't make you guys upset too?

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.
