Hey all. Been reading koolmans post about crushing 10NL for 40BB/100 (congrats!) and I'm guessing this is variance, however, over a pretty non massive sample since I've never heard of a win rate that high. I'm wondering though, what a good amount of BB/100 would be to move up and tell that you're truly crushing a level.
First thing to clarify, when people state BBs/100 this means big bets so 2x the big blind right?
I'm currently beating 20NL on i poker for 8BB/100 or 16bb/100 over 14k hands. Am I crushing this level or is it a marginal amount? With all other factors in check, would this be a sufficient win rate to move up with confidence to 50NL?
Thanks in advance for advice on this one.

BB-Big Bets(2x big blind)
bb-Big Blind
14k hands is still quite a smallish sample
8BB/100 over 14k hands is great,i would say 25-30k hands will tell you your actual amount.
I would suggest you to refer this post by spenda,to see you are ready for 50NL.

My reference was to Big Blinds, no big bets. Typically, ptBB refers to Big Bets, in reference to limit poker.
And yes, my 40BB/100 run was definately a heater, no doubt, and it's also a very small sample. It took me two days to get those hands in, and I don't play really long sessions. There's no way that rate could be sustained over the long term. But my winrate was still increasing dramatically, nonetheless.
Personally, I think your winrate combined with your BR will determine when to move up. If I had built to $650 at 4BB/100, I probably would have stayed at $10NL until I hit $750 or so to accomodate for a bigger downswing. As it was, I took a 4BI downswing at $25NL before earning anything. If I hadn't started with 26BI, I would have dropped back down to $10NL.

16bb/100 is good, but 14k is a pretty smallish sample size. But you are definitely able to beat your level for a decent win rate even if that isn't just a sick heater, I'd imagine.
Definitely read that link hangchiong put on here. That should answer most/all of your questions.
