Just to make it clear,
when people here say to bet 4-6x BB, do they mean 4-6x Big Bet (like BB in poker tracker) or 4-6x Big Blind?

(For a 0.25/0.5$ game Big Blind is 0.5$ and Big Bet is 1$)

When talking about bets its Big Bet. When talking about position is Big Blind. I am a limit player so at a $3/$6 table the BB is 6.

This is incorrect. 1 big blind is equal to 1 small bet and 1 small blind is usually half. So at a $2/$4 table, the small blind is $1 and the big blind is $2.

At $5/$10 tables I've seen odd things for blinds. Some have small blinds of $2 and some have them as $2.50

ChezJ is an unknown quantity at this point
for a 0.25/0.50 NO LIMIT game, the small blind is 0.25 and the big blind is 0.50. one big bet is considered to be 2x the big blind, or $1 in this case.

for a 0.25/0.50 FIXED LIMIT game, the big blind is 0.25 and one big bet is 0.50.

so both of you are correct depending on the type of game you are referring to.

I think it usually means they raise 4-6x Big Blind preflop.

Talking about Big Bets doesn't really make much sense in NL, and I only assume BB=Big Bets when it's used in the term "BB/100 hands" (because that's what PT uses)
