Maybe this needs to be in tools of poker topic, but maybe this helps other beginners...
I like playing tournaments, but I am thinking of a switch to cash FR (starting at $10 but go $25 if it goes ok (BR=1300)) and playing tournaments on the side. Now I know that pokerxfactor only tackles tournament play, and according to reviews it is worth the money.
But cardrunners also do cash games, but I read somewhere that they only focus on tables with 6 ppl, not FR.
My goal/dream is to win a nice MTT (alrdy won a $2 rebuy mtt, but it had probably big luck involved). So basically play FR to get the cash and to play MTT's.
Or if you say pokerxfactor will definatly get you rolling good on SnG's then I can use the SnG winnings to play the MTT's.
So will pokerxfactor be better for me or do you say cardrunners is better? I can only afford 1, not both.
As usual, thanks for any advice!

I dont know about pokerxfactor nor what it is but i am a cardrunners member and I have to say I have learned more in two months then in over a year and 8 books. Keep in mind I have switched to 6 max NL but they do cover BOTH Full Ring and 6 max as well as MTT's and S&G's.
I think it is definitly worth the subscription and it should pay itself off. They have a good forum to and alot of in depth articles by the tutors.

Why don't you want to play 6-handed? It's quicker, more fun - you get to play lots more actual poker - and it's about 50% more profitable because you play about that many more hands.
It may take you slightly longer to get comfy at it, but if you're starting at $10 you can afford to take the time. It'll certainly reward you in the mid-long term.

@DubRod, thanks for your answer!
@biondino, starting at $10 to repractice multitabling, kinda stopped that when I started playing SnG's. But maybe you are right, I am still early in the learning curve and probably can do a restart at 6 max...
Thanks for the feedback!

PXF = SNGs, MTTs, just starting ring
cardrunners = Ring
Both are very good.

Cardrunners is not just ring, they have tutors who specialize in Mtt's and SnG's although most memberes are ring players.

Yes, but ring seems to be their specialty. If you want MTT and SNG advice, IMO you have to go with PXF. It's hard to march-up to their pros: sheets, johnnybax, rizen, brsavage, and Bel0wAb0ve.

his first vid is very good, not much action cards wise but he will talk about theory which isnt obv based on action at the table. just adds in topics he wishes to dicuss prior to the vid. i liked it.
its also more geared towards 6max than FR but postflop it dont really matter i think. its all good

Jman: every time the action is to you, it's an opportunity for you to make the perfect play.
