I'm currently playing the $10 NL ring games at Pacific Poker, and doing pretty well.

My strategy revolves around buying in for only $5 and pretty much just camping, which I do for two reasons:

First, almost all of my value bets and all-ins get callers, due to my short stack image.

Second, I feel that $5 is more than enough, since the blinds are 5c/10c. I'm not short stacked to the point where I have to go all-in or fold pre-flop, yet I give other players the impression that I will go all-in with mediocre hands.

My question is how big a bankroll would I need for this strategy? I currently have $95 in my account, which is 19x my $5 buy-in, but only 9x the max $10 buy-in. Is this enough, or should I deposit more money?

Thanks!

dude. either put in more money, or play lower stakes. please do not ever buy-in short. if you were gonna get in a gun-fight with those kids, would you fill your gun all the way up? yes. buying in short is a terrible idea, and please dont try to justify it, cause it really is a bad idea. especially if you buy-in short and then camp. If you were to buy-in full at those limits, your all-ins would get called just as much, but you would be making twice as much profit every time. also, you would be able to play a little poker, instead of just sitting down waiting for a good hand and hoping to get called. if you want to gamble, play roulette, but if you want to make money longterm, learn how to play poker. and buy in full dammit.

try to figure out ways to get as many chips in front of you as possible

I used to do this too, and I made much more money doing it (people would often call my pushes when I had the nuts thinking I can't afford full buyin..and therefor suck at poker)

I wouldn't suggest asking for help about it here though, you'll get nothing but crap for it :P

Play any way you like. The goal of poker is to make money and if that's the best way for you to do it, then keep at it. At some point you will figure out you want to start playing with more chips. Until then, there is a post about this: http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...er=asc&start=0

Personally, I never go with a short buy-in, but whatever floats your boat.

Buy in short if you want. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it. I do it constantly and make a killing. Especially at 200NL where I buy in for $50.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

Rondavu,
Are you limiting your starting hands to the big boys and pushing or are you playing a different strategy? I noticed you seem to be a fairly aggressive player based on some of your posts.
