Okay, so I just broke the $100 dollar mark, playing the $25 tables at pokerroom.

Yes, I know. I did what you all say DO NOT DO and I deposited 20 bucks and grinded my way up. But what the hell, it worked.

Given the way things are going... Do you think i should

a) stay at pokerroom and grind more on the $25 tables till I'm properly bankrolled

-or-

b) cash out and move over to party and play the 5 cent tables?

Advice appreciated, thanks!

Anyone else see the contradiction? How are you going to grind at 25NL with 4 buy-ins and say "until im properly bankrolled?" your underrolled, yet you want to stake underrolled to achiever a proper bankroll? For what?

You could consider playing on Stars rather than Party. You're missing out on about $75 of bonus from Party if you only deposit $100.

On Party you'll only have 40 days to get your BR past the micro-limit stage.

You need to find a level that you can play comfortably. Playing with only 4 buy-ins means you're at serious risk if you get just a tiny run of bad luck.

You can play $10NL fairly comfortably (but there's a reasonable risk of busting out), or you can play the $5NL tables and you've got a a very solid cushion behind you.
Blah blah Op Blah blah

Faith in Jesus Christ is +EV. That is all.

Hmmm... I'm not sure if stars allows players on Macs, I'll check though.

I already have an account at Party which makes it that much easier.

By the way- thank you for the wonderfully straightforward and helpful answer!

I really appreciate that.

Took your advice and started playing on Party $5 tables... Multi tabling 3 at a time (all the 13-inch macbook screen will allow : ) ) and WOW what a difference.

Feels like I have room to breathe. The way things are going i figure to be at about $5-$6 an hour, which isn't bad at all. Just going to take some getting used to, not seeing those big pots coming my way anymore.

I'm much more confident in my play at this level, however, and if any beginners are reading this I would STRONGLY reccomend you start at a level you know you can afford!

It might seem like a big step down, a big step backwards, but in reality it's not at all. Thanks for the help guys/gals!

Not letting your ego get in the way of moving down is a big step towards being a succesful poker player. I congratulate you Sir for making the right choice. Youll be back up to $25NL in no time and with the proper bankroll.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

move to prima if you can.

Ill will repeat this next bit only once: do not play anything less than 100nl on stars.
If anyone argues they are dumb, you are losing money not playing against total fish on other sites if you move to stars just because of the mtts or 'nice' software.

If you cant move to party because you look like losing out on bonuses then look at bodog (rakeback available, plus 10% bonus) or something like paradise (if you arent american) or the prima network, perhaps even the boss media network.

I or even some others can post more info about these other less well known networks, but trust me when i say do not move to stars at this stage, it is seriously -ev.
If you are a half competent player you can probably put together a 2.5k bankroll in 30-60k hands by bonus whoring in the right places.

Absolutely. I was at stars a while back grinding $10NL myself. I will tell you the only thing it will do for you is teach you poker and cost you money. Since moving thru paradise, pacific, prima $25NL and $10NL and now playing $25NL on crypto, i can honestly say that the stars $10NL was the toughest grind.

I forgot to add crypto can provide anything from $150 to $250+ in reloads aswell which are good for a 500-2.5k br.

crypto only has $25NL though, nothing lower. But easy bonuses and reloads. I'll tell you this though. If you play the stars $10NL you can play the Crypto $25NL. Just get a little more cash behind "incase"
