How much money do you usually bring to a table when playing (limit)? I know you should have 300xBB for your bank roll but how much do you plop down when buying in? Online or at a B&M?

Thanks,

At a brick and mortal I'll bring 30BB's with me

I usually buy-in for 20BB's and its nice to have a little padding just in case I take a tough break.

If I can l ose 30bb's in a B&M then something wrong and I need to stop.

I played just yesterday at the B&M and I sat down with 20XBB.

4 hours later, I got up with 18XBB

Maybe tomorrow will be better.
I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Here's what I sit down with in online limit

.05/.10 -- 3.00
.10/.20 -- 6.00
.25/.50 -- 10.00-12.00
.50/1.00 -- 20.00-25.00

When I get down to an amount where it looks like I wouldn't have enough for another hand if the action gets heavy, I get up. One of the biggest mistakes I see people make is just dumping their last few pennies or dollars on a mediocre hand rather than getting up. OR, even worse, they finally hit a monster hand and have to go all in with their .25 and don't make near as much money as they could have.

No limit - I either start with the max buyin or I don't play.

yeah I sit down with 25BBs but some people are more compftable with 50BBs. For a B&M it's dependant on your length of stay but I'd consider similar amounts for a long session. i.e. 2 buy-ins.
