can't blame you, I'd probably just stick the rest in on the turn, or even fold the turn. You make him seem pretty aggro so it's a close spot.

Really? Because this line usually screams "omg I has a set" when villain initiates it

Also is there anything that can be said about the turn bet-sizing? I feel like it's too big for top pair top kicker. This seems like one of those situations where you want to figure out where that fine line between betting just enough so your opponent calls, but not blowing him out of his draws/potential worse hands.
The older I get, the more I start wondering; Just what in the hell is going on here?

Strongly re-evaluate your one pair hand when being raised on the turn.

It's not a semi-bluff because draws have crap equity and he would have raised you on the flop. Considering his stack size the turn is already a committing bet because you can't fold for $6 on a blank river.

Lots of hands he could have KhQh, Kh10h, JJ+.

pitty you showed the river. would have been nice to see the game up to the turn or before his river action and just assess from what you can see that far.

im probably in the same boat as you at with this hand. getting it in on the turn has gota be the way to go if you are concerned about the FD tho.

with the raise on the turn, i couldnt see him having anything but 22, QQ, or a bunch of draws. i felt he thought i was double barreling and trying to take me off my hand

KhQH, KhTh, JJ+ is not lots of hands.

About the hand, tough decision, I think there is big chance you were beaten after the turn raise. But you said villain is very very agressive, so if you felt ok about your TPTK at the moment, probably the best would have been to get it in right there.

the only draw that makes sense is hearts, but I doubt he would raise hearts there because if he does make his draw he has very little chips left

so if he SHOVED the turn he is more likely to have two hearts
with this bet sizing I can only see him having 22, 44, QJ, and discounted QQ/JJ (if you have a high fold to 3b)

so? If you see a nickel on the street, do you pass it up because there's likely a quarter somewhere else?

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

LoL'd.

If OP's read is right, he's got plenty of equity to overshove the turn. Sure a set is in villain's range, but other combos are too. Enough, imo.
