Micro limit game...
.10\.20 NL Holdem
OK im BB with 22 everyone folds except for the button and small blind, so i check
FLop is 9 10 Q rainbow
checked all around
Turn is a 2
SB bets 80 cents, I raise it to 2.40
he smooth calls
He goes all in on the river
and i call, turns out he flopped a straight..
was this a bad call?
i didnt put him on a set because i know he wouldn't have checked the flop, with 2 pair either..
i didn't see 3 to a straight on the board
i thought he might have hit 2 pair ...
was this a very bad play or did i just get my butt slowplayed like a yucalali (sp?))

I think your right to raise the turn to find out where you are, but when he pushes the river its a fold for me.

I'l often check a rainbow flop with a set lookin for someone to bet into me. Its not a bad play imo.
Looking at the board when he AIs, I find it hard to see what he's gonna pull a move like this with that dosen't have you beat.
He probably would have flop bet 2 pair.
He wouldn't call your turn raise with a pair. or check the flop for that matter.
He could have a set, which will be higher then yours.
Or he could have the straight.
So there is only two options, both of which beat you.
Tough fold though.

I think it's ukelele.
If this is the worst call you ever make playing poker, you'll be in great shape. Just because people shouldn't slow play two pair on a board like that doesn't mean they won't. Also he could have made two pair on the river. At these limits someone slow playing TP wouldn't surprise me.

This is the only thing that worries me - you should always know the nuts. Practice reading the board, it will save you money.

yeah this is one of the worst..
thanks for your comments..
and yeah now that i think about it.. well i dreamt about it.. i should have seen that the only way he would make that move was if he ahd me beat.. i think he had me read for a set
hows this one:
same limits (.10\.20)
i have AKs
he has AA
raised to 4x BB preflop, i am UTG, he is button
Flop is Ac Kc Js
i raise to $2.50
he reraises all-in (6.50 on top)
i end up calling
i think this was a bad call.. but peer pressure kind of made me go in to it .. "you can't fold that".
i just wanted your opinions on what you guys would have done.. keep in mind that this guy plays like a semi maniac.. by that i mean he calls with alot of hands with big raises on them
