i just got PT and don't really know how to use it. i have been readind in these forums trying to learn but its hard. i don't understand it. i 'm decent at poker but with all these abbreviations and categories. i have no idea how to tell if someone is good or bad. how do you tell? and i've been reading about auto rating players and does that help alot? is it a must? and if so where can i get some good auto rates for 10 man nl games. i play alot of multi-tournys and 100 nl. if anyone has some good auto rates or knows where i can find some please help. cause PT isn't helping me at all right now. thank you very much to anyone who helps!!!

I posted my 6-max rules there, and I have a link there pointing to 10-max rules.
Whiskey, PT is pretty intimidating at first. As you use it you'll become more familiar with what everything means.

..not to mention the confusion and stress associated with all the extra windows: 3 tableing on ub: lobby + ubuddy(fishfinder) + 3 tables + 3 handhistories + uhistory(handgrabber) + pt + gametimeplus
= 11 windows!
read FTR at the same time and your head will explode

I don't have PokerTracker, but I have used PokerStat. And only the free version of it (3k hands) which is now kaput for me. Should I stick with (buy) PokerStat, or is PokerTracker better? I can try PokerTracker for 1,000 hands, I think. If I switch, can I get my 3,000 hands over the the new program?

Thanks for the advice. I'll get it...saw the link under Tools of Poker.
Also what is ubuddy(fishfinder)?
How many hands do you think it takes to get an accurate picture of my game?
How many hands on someone else to get a reasonable picture--ie. to use the stats you posted?
