Hi,
One of the good sites for bonus at the moment is full tilt with 100% up to $600. But they also offer a $100 for you and $25 for your friend if you recommend a friend who signs up within 30 days after the recommendation.
SO I propose that we start a chain of us recommending one another. We'll set up a list of people with top of the list recommending 2nd, then 2nd signing up and recommending 3rd etc etc. That way I end up with $100, everyone in the list gets $125 + their 100% bonus!
2 things: You can't already have a full tilt account, and you need to be playing cash. (bonus will never clear via SNGs on FT.)
Let me know if you're interested

Don't think Beginners want to try this bonus. It takes forever at $25NL and under. Months infact. And the site is a rockfest at $50NL and under. There's better targets and easier money.

I'm working at clearing this bonus right now. As Trainer said it does take forever. Way longer than the pokerstars bonus I cleared a while back. I also wouldn't recomend it if your playing below 100nl or if your going to try and do it trough tourny's or sit n go's.

im doing it at 25NL. You have enough time to clear it and the rock fest it is makes it really profitable if you're willing to lagg it up. Cleared 70% of mine and yes it takes time. I just figured that with the additional $125 people might be tempted.
oh well

Doesn't this mean you wouldn't be able to get rakeback? Fine if all you want to do is whore the bonus but a pisser if you ever want to play there again.

No offense to the OP, but this isn't optimal for the reasons biondino mentioned.
And pretty much the only people who don't have FTP accounts on this board are people who have no plans to play there at all.

A: Biondino make a valid point but if you do only want to whore the bonus it is fine.
B: So when you say the only people on here without FTP accounts are those who never plan to play there, have they all PM'd you to tell you who they are, where they play, and what there poker plans are? Or are you just making a guess for the sake of it? There must be 1000+ players on here. You'd think maybe 1 or 2 of them might be in the same boat as me.

It doesnt matter if Rakeback isnt immediately profitable for low stakes players, if you ever plan on getting better and moving up in stakes (which i hope to god you do), then dont go for the quick small bonuses, just sign up for rakeback. Even at the lowest stakes, RB adds up over several months.

If anyone wants some hard numbers on what rakeback gets you--
I cleared the $600 FT bonus from October '06-February '07 playing micro-stakes NL and got $130 from my RB affiliate (this is even after FT deducts the bonus from MGR). Granted, I accrued more than the required number of FT points to clear the entire bonus-- I had ~10,300 FT points at the end and only needed to clear 10,000 points for the bonus.

you only need 1000 points since you recommended your friend to earn $100 bonus. Plus you can do this without trying for the full $600 bonus. (some lower stakes grinders don't have this much to deposit, i certainly didnt when i deposited)
What is MGR and why do FT deduct bonus from it?

its important not to waste the good $500+ bonuses by only depositing $100-$200. Wait until you have the full amount to take full advantage.

Yes, but I got the $130 from my RB affiliate into my FTP account without having to play for it. Wouldn't you rather take $100 (or $130 in this case) cash over a $100 bonus????

MGR stands for Monthly Gross Revenue that we, the individual player, generate by playing. It's the amount raked by the table divided by the number of players dealt into the hand preflop (at least this is how it's calculated at FTP. It varies from site to site and too much to get into now).
So on a $100 pot that got raked $3 with 9 players PF, each player's MGR is $0.33. Most RB affiliates give you about 25-30% of your MGR back to you, so for that hand alone you made yourself about $0.09 in RB. Nine cents doesn't sound like a lot, but if you play 1,000 hands in a session and play 20 sessions in a month that really adds up. Even at micro-stakes where the rake only reaches about $0.25 most of the time it adds up.
Since FTP is already giving you a $600 bonus, they don't want to have to give you a lot more on top of that, so they deduct the amount of bonus you make from your MGR to reduce the amount of money they have to pay you in RB (not all sites do this, BTW-- there are/were some sites that didn't deduct bonuses from RB or only deduct a percentage of your bonus from MGR. FTP, however, fully deducts everything that they can from your MGR-- bonuses, NeTeller transaction fees, items purchased from the FTP store using points, overlay in freerolls, etc).
Why do they do it? To save money, naturally.

Well you had to play for it though. You only earn RB by playing. $100 is deposited into your account when you hit the 1000 FTPs (if your friend has also played enough). Those FTPs still count towards the $600 bonus you are earning. You said that you only got $130 after 10,000 FTPs. Does that mean you would have had $730 if not for your cleared bonus?
