I suck, even at microstakes..

I know alot about poker, I often read advanced stategy-articles, I am good at math,I try to play alot of hands and I don't have a problem whatsoever with bad beats.

But I'm still not winning!!!
I'm not saying it's bad luck, It's clear that I have mayor leaks in my game when I have swings on a 2$table (partypoker). Is that normal?
I really feel stupid and want to know if one of you guys could give me some advice/tips/guidelines on how you (probably easly) beat the the microstakes. (not just: play tight, cause I'm not stupid

Thx alot

Vince

edit: maybe some advice on blindstealing, valuebetting but definitly postflop-play would be usefull

I found your two biggest leaks they are highlighted in BOLD. Your playing micro stakes so forget all the advanced strategy stuff first off. Read everything in the Beginners Digest before you play another hand. Learn the basics from the ground up.
Second only play good starting cards. Tight is right. This will be covered in the reading you're going to be doing trust me.

Good luck and welcome to FTR!

thx that's maybe not such a bet idea..
I'm still wondering if I don't play tight enough though. With many hands I ment that I play alot, not that I play loose, srr if you misunderstood it

Tighten up. If you think you're playing tight enough then tighten up some more.
Learn to read players. C/Bet if they're susceptible to it.

Follow good bankroll management. That means buy in and leave when you have the right amount under the right circumstances.

table selection likely isn't your biggest issue. if you have any stats to post that may be beneficial to post so we can identify and big leaks you have and guide you towards fixing them.

i was facing the same problem with u about a month ago..Stop playing so much poker and start reading about the game.I suggest you start with Harrington on Holdem and Super System,Sklansky is also pretty good.A good idea is to read a lot of articles and watch many instructional videos.Be patient and when you start playing again you'll be rewarded.

On 2NL I found it good to raise preflop with most picture cards and pocket pairs (player depending) and aggro play most pairs+
(the amount of people who stack off with king high at 2NL is ridiculous)

This tip here is not meant to be so comprehensive, but here it is: DON'T BLUFF

Most micro stakes players will pay you off when you hit, so value bet with your good hands, keep the pots small on marginal hands, and dump the poor ones. It's ABC poker at it's finest. We're not trying to win someone's stack on every hand, we're grinding it out.

You haven't fixed your leaks, though. Just because you found soft games doesn't mean you've improved. Find the fish, sure, but keep looking for REAL leaks in your game or you won't advance as quickly as you'd like to.

Learn to value bet, learn when to ditch hands, learn to put your opponents on a range - learn all you can, while the learnin's cheap.

2nl? Play tight preflop, make top pair or better on the flop, value bet (BET POT) - rinse and repeat. (This is the result of my IRC brainwashing yesterday )
<JustinSKS> Tha'ts why I fold my 33 to 72o, because 7 high beats, 1 pair, donk.

JR: lets do it JUAN
JR: mono e mono
JR: man to man
JR: HU4ROLLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Dealer: juan0984 folds

I think my biggest leak was that I C-betted to mutch. Now I just play good hands and valuebet when I hit them. (You were right from the start micro2macro ). Also I took the advice from nish81 and bet the pot almost every time. I'm amazed how much value I get from these players..

Thx alot guys, you were really helpful
