Long story short: I started playing and played a decent amount my senior year in college and was grinding a roll and almost hit 25nl. Graduation hits, real life begins, and long work hours entice me to withdraw most of my roll (kept $100 in case I wanted to start playing again).
Now i'm back. Coming up in the fall i'll have a good amount of free time to play due to my gf going to school for 9 months.
Anyone have any good suggestions for how to get back into the game? My current plan is to restart the grind, rewatch my collection of videos I smartly saved, and get active on FTR/IRC.

Sounds like a great plan. Doing a little catch-up studying before the grind might be better.

Tilt is poker cancer. You catch it, you die.

I've been testing the waters somewhat and I have a lot of catching up to do. Especially in the patience/discipline department.
Luckily, I have some old knowledge and a willingness to learn and study to get better, which is a lot more than what I started with.

You might want to sign up for grinderschool.com.... I did, and think that spending $10 for a month gives a great refresher for less than half the price of a poker book.
I don't even need to remember to cancel the subscription.

I forgot to mention - poker tracker 3 has a 60 day free trial.
I highly recommend that as well. I expect to pay for it with my profit by the time the trial runs out.

I know I used to have a GS subscription back in the day...can't for the life of me remember what my username was.
I'll cruise over there later this week and check it out. I'm pretty sure I still have some of their videos saved though.
