I am posting this in the beginner's circle because I think this is a great opportunity for new non-US players.

FTR has been hosting a tournament every month on the first Sunday at PKR with a $3 buyin and $100 added. The turnout has not been very well, and tournaments need a minimum of 15 players. So if you haven't tried out PKR yet (or have money on it for that matter), and live outside of the US check out the PKR tournament this month. Only a $3 buyin with $100 added, could be a nice bankroll booster. This month's tournament is on October 7th at 20:00 GMT / 16:00 ET. Complete details can be found here: http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...oker-55849.htm

For those who don't know PKR is the first of its kind to have a complete 3D environment, very cool addition to online poker. Check out FTR's review on PKR.

i have no idea how the games play first hand (no us), however i have heard it is a fish fest. this is probably due to it being very very hard to multitable and the flashy graphics. i've played play money for fun a few times and play wise it was a lot of fun. definitely different then playing just a flat 2d table. if they accepted us i'd probably keep some money on there and just 1-2 table when i felt bored.

It's fun if you like to 1 table and play almost as slow as live, but it's the softest site I've played on.

You can if you want to spend reward points on things like clothes, jewellery, tattooes and chip tricks for your avatar. I was surprised how many people do this on PKR when they could be spending their points on proper rewards like real clothes, tourney entries e.t.c.

I play there because my mates swear by it. It has THE WORST software that takes forever to download and install and still takes ages and ages to load tables. I try to get into HUSnGs with said friends and often fail because of this. And you can one table etc. etc. That said, I'm all for function over style as I'm a multitabling bot, if you like The Sims you'll love it...

I def wouldn't recommend it to experienced players therefore, but for a player looking to build a br the money added tourneys sound great! Overlay people!

Is it still massively memory hungry? That was the big problem when I tried it on my reasonably specced PC.
