Ok if he is smart he might understand that i am raising with a wide range to pick up all the dead money in the pot. It's kinda dangerous to credit a 2nl player with though. Heck i don't even consider myself that smart. I'm just less dumber then the lobotomy patients that i play against. Past experience in this situation says he has a mid pair which of course means i should of called but i have a hard time calling a big raise with A4

Is it normal to try and steal the pot with three players limping behind you? And unless you've been doing this before, he couldn't really know that you would raise could he? (i.e. so he should have bet before). unless he's trying to steal the pot himself :S
<JustinSKS> Tha'ts why I fold my 33 to 72o, because 7 high beats, 1 pair, donk.

JR: lets do it JUAN
JR: mono e mono
JR: man to man
JR: HU4ROLLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Dealer: juan0984 folds

JKDS is on a distinguished road
i usually see small pairs and monsters here. nothing really folds to a 4b and we ave shitty equity calling, so obv fold. and raising a4 on button is standard.

side note: half stack? and wtf at colorful hh?

a "Full House" FTR poster is still at 2NL? man we're failing some people.

anyway, i personally don't think A4o is that great of a hand to put in your standard PFR range on the button. behind all those limpers it's fine if there aren't too many with stats like 12/2 or 25/0. (obviously also a good blind stealing hand)

if you want us to put an opponent on an exact range of hands simply based on a limp/raise, we need reads. w/o reads, i'd say zedac has something that he thinks is the nuts. whether that's QQ+ or friggin TT+, AJ+, KQ he has us dominated. easy fold

I say good try for the steal but walk away before you lose too much. I wonder how many agree that A4o is a good steal here. (obviously any 2 cards that work is a good steal but i'm speaking in general) If so i need to open up a little more here myself, i would say A10o and up, and possible any Axs for me.

Have a read through my OP. I steal like crazy like 60%+ BUT you have to steal from the right guys. If the button and blinds are nits you can steal like mad from the CO. Don't ever try stealing from a station though with rubbish and unless the guys you have position on are juicy, just move to a better table. Main thing is to have fold SB and fold BB stats on your HUD , then if those figures are high start loosening up what cards you steal with so you get comfortable .
If they play back at you when you have rubbish, make sure you don't let them see what you were raising with else you'll never steal off them again. Make it look like it was a tough decision to fold.

Also 2nl , stealing shouldn't really be a high priority thing simply because they'll call with anything.

pleas use the ftr converter next time, not the rather tropical 2p2 format kthxbai

No reads, no stats, so no opinion on this one from me.
<@d0zer> how will you learn if I don't berate you harshly?

He might understand... so you have a little bit of history? Is this a limp-only table where you're the only one spoiling the mood by insisting on open raising before the flop and he just wants to punish you?

Btw, does this site have a bet pot button? He's betting exactly pot.

Classically limp re-raise with AA/KK is by some people in some situations considered a solid play.

If he has a mid pair you will lose the hand 7 times out of 10 and you're already putting more than half your stack in. Even if he checks it down, agrees to pay you off if you hit your ace on flop, turn or river and doesn't bet into you otherwise you're losing money on this one.
